40409 Elizabeth A Bowker My intention is to help skilled technicians improve their business skills and develop in to managers who can manage project, budgets and staff with equal acuity. My courses are tailored to each class which can be a survey course that outlines the basics, or the detailed development of a particular skill. My classes tend to be fast paced and very focused on developing skills rather than retaining details or trivia. I'd rather you wrote a better report than could name the standard types of headings. I am a small business strategist, project consultant and educator with 20 years of professional experience in the private, public and non-profit sectors. In my consulting business I work with a wide range of clients, including the building sector and municipal operations; rural BC and the Yukon are important to my business. I typically focus on strategic planning, business operations, budgeting, cash management, marketing and skill development. I began my career as a high school teacher before receiving my MBA from UBC, and later, additional training in negotiation and facilitation. I've worked for agencies including VANOC and TransLink, as well as many smaller businesses in a variety of sectors. I am currently an instructor of Business Communications at BCIT. I have a bi-weekly business column in the Alaska Highway News and Whitehorse Star, am a member of the Vancouver City Planning Commission and am a Certified Management Accountant, Candidate.

40759 James A Allman I started my career in safety in 1982 with WCB as it was then known. That's where I got my first exposure to training methodology. Over the years, I've developed my own approach to training. I know that when you are teaching professionals in the trades, the training has to be fun and engaging, but also practical, realistic and applicable. The thing that I enjoy most about my training is when individuals in the audience suddenly "get it"and I know that I have made a difference.
